Tree sap is messy and can stick to shoes, and stain clothes, car finishes and many other precious things. In order to remove tree sap, you should treat it as you would any other sticky substance. Lubricants & Alcohol work well, and also letting the sap dry may help remove it from clothing. Some products we recommend to remove sap are: - WD40 (my personal favorite)
- Hand sanitizer
- Rubbing alcohol
- Nail polish remover
- Peanut butter
- Goof off
- Cooking oil
Apply the product of your choice to a soft and clean cloth and then dab the affected area until the sap comes off - wash as usual, and it should be fine. However, make sure all sap is removed before you put the garment in the dryer since this could cause it to melt and spread it for a further mess or affect other clothes. |
